She took exceptional pride and delight in attending her great-grandchildren's sporting events and other activities. She was a devoted wife and mother, forever loving grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt and friend to many. For Dolores, life's greatest joy was her family. She was an active member with the Upton Senior Center and the Green Acres Senior Association. Dolores was a member of the Grafton Cluster Knitting Ministry and also loved to bake for The Mustard Seed. After retiring, she and her husband moved to South Grafton where they resided for 25 years.

Dolores was proud to have worked at RCA during a time when she was able to help build components used in our nation's first Lunar Excursion Module. Their home was often times full of singing and music and there was always room for 'one more' at their table. Dolores and her husband Richard raised their family in Central Massachusetts and were always happy to welcome others. Through her years, she carried fond memories of her young life, as one of seven children living on the family's dairy farm in Charlton. Following the early death of her birth father, she was raised by her mother and stepfather Timoteo 'Manuel' Lazaro, the only man she knew and loved as her father. Dolores was born Apin Boston, daughter of the late Amable (Rio) and Indalecio Prego. Dolores is also survived by her sister Rose (Lazaro) Cote, brothers Ralph 'Benny' Lazaro with his wife Charlotte and Timothy Lazaro with his wife Rebecca, beloved in-laws and 3 generations of nieces and nephews. She also leaves 8 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Dolores is survived by four children including daughter Jean Parella with her husband Frank, daughter Arline Coppa with her husband Richard, daughter Gloria Cote, and son Wayne Cote with his wife Debra. She is also predeceased by three sons Richard Jr., David and Kenneth, a grandson Kevin Parella, and her brothers Joseph, Alfonso and James. Her husband of 59 years, Richard Cote, passed away in 2001. Dolores 'Lola' Cote, 91, passed away peacefully Septemat Beaumont Nursing and Rehabilitation in Northbridge.
